A case converter transforms text into different capitalisation styles — uppercase, lowercase, title case, sentence case, and programming-friendly formats like camelCase and snake_case. It saves time and prevents typos when formatting headings, filenames, variables, and social posts.
All processing happens inside your browser — your text is never uploaded, stored, or tracked.

camelCase, snake_case, and kebab-case
Programming cases are built by splitting your text into words and rejoining them with a separator. Whitespace, hyphens, underscores, and punctuation are used as word boundaries. This means "user profile", "user-profile", and "user_profile" all convert to the same camelCase result: userProfile.
Digits are preserved as part of the current word. For example, "version 2 update" becomes version2Update in camelCase.
If you need a specific separator, use the snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, or Dot.case options directly.
Tips for consistent capitalisation
- Use Title Case for headings. Most style guides capitalise the first letter of each major word.
- Use Sentence case for body text. It is easier to read and matches how people naturally write.
- Use kebab-case for URLs. Hyphens are SEO-friendly and readable in search results.
- Use snake_case for databases. It is the default in SQL and most Python projects.
- Avoid alternating case for accessibility. It is decorative and hard for screen readers.
Frequently asked questions
Is this case converter free?
Yes. The tool is completely free, requires no account, and has no advertisements.
Is my text stored or uploaded?
No. All conversion and analysis happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is sent to a server.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page loads, every feature works without an internet connection.
Does it support non-English text?
Yes. Uppercase and lowercase conversions work with any script that has case distinctions, including accented Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek. Scripts without case, like Devanagari, are left unchanged.
What does "Keep original punctuation" do?
When enabled, punctuation is preserved as-is. When disabled, punctuation is treated as a word separator, which is useful for programming cases like camelCase and snake_case.
Can I convert to a case not listed here?
You can combine UPPERCASE or lowercase with the text tools to build custom formats. If there is a common format you would like added, let us know.
What does "Swap" do?
It copies the converted result back into the input box, so you can chain multiple conversions or apply other tools.
